नमस्ते, [ nuh · muh · stay ] 🙏
My name is Yogesh Kumar
Pronounced as: [ yo · gesh — koo · maar ]
noun;
Lifelong learner — always hungry for new ideas.
A collaborator — turning moments into momentum.
adjective;
Curious human — asking questions that matters the most.
Detail driven — with an eye for craft and clarity.
I'm a product/ux designer, born in rural India and now designing from Ahmedabad, who believes technology should be simple, intuitive and inspiring. I bring curiosity and craft to every experience I create. My passion lies in shaping raw ideas into beautiful, human-centered products.
When I am not designing, you can find me inside an anime world, watching a movie, or discussing space with my friends.
How I started —
I switched schools three times (hardest thing for any kid) but somehow always ended up with the cool friends (survival skills, I guess.). Unlike others who lived for memorizing books, I quickly lost interest in rote learning but still managed to clear 12th on the first go.
I knew engineering, the default path wasn’t for me. Instead of following the crowd, I chased what I loved - online games and anime. Why just play in those worlds when I could create them? That led me to the Animation & Multimedia program at JC Bose University, where I picked up the foundations of design.
Early in university, I joined a hackathon where we built a Unity-based game and got 5th place. More than the rank, it showed me the thrill of rapid problem-solving, collaboration, and bringing an idea to life under pressure.
Why design —
The deeper I got into game design, the more I obsessed over the player’s experience — not just the levels. Building 3D assets and stitching them into worlds gave me my first taste of UX in action. But the reality hit hard: India’s game industry was chaotic, with long hours and little value. I knew my effort was worth more than that.
One day, a friend nudged me toward UX design, and it clicked. What I loved wasn’t just building worlds, but shaping how people experienced them. The shift from game design to UX didn’t feel like a career change; it felt like unlocking the next level. I traded 3D assets for wireframes and started designing products that solved real problems.
Game design taught me UX. The industry taught me my value.

What I think —
Good design starts by stepping behind the screen, observing people as they interact, and understanding not just what they say but how they feel.
Appreciate you reading this far! 🙌
